Hi, Adams! I grew up outside of Chicago and am currently an English teacher and curriculum developer at a private school in Boston. My students make me laugh every day, and I relish the challenge of engaging my students in honest and thoughtful explorations of who they are and how to create a just world. Teaching gives me a tangible purpose for my love of close literary analysis and social ethics. Read more about Christina Baik

Hello, Adams House! I come from Melbourne, Australia; I came to Harvard College in 2008. During my undergraduate years I lived in Mass Hall and Lowell House and sung with the UChoir Choral Fellows. I’m a G5 in the Department of Comparative Literature now, and study poetry and psychoanalytic theory—my research is in subjectivity in poetics, and the idea of catharsis in poetry and psychoanalysis alike. Hi Adams! I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and I did my undergrad at Swarthmore College. I got there thinking I would study Latin American Studies, then intended to do Physics, then Political Science, and finally settled on Biology. After graduating from college, I spent three years working as a lab manager and eventually decided to go to grad school, which brought me here as a PhD student in the lab of Cassandra Extavour in OEB. My research has largely centered on the genetics and biomechanics of developing insects. I currently work on cell movements in cricket embryos. Read more about Seth Donoughe

Hi Adams House! My name is Sheila Enamandram, and I'm currently an MD/MBA candidate at HMS/HBS --  I am so thrilled to be joining you as a pre-medical and pre-business tutor. Originally from West Windsor, NJ, I graduated Yale 2013 (boola boola!) with a double major in Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology and Political Science (Poverty Alleviation Studies). I've had an array of experiences related to healthcare spanning public health advocacy, basic science and clinical research, global health-level and hospital institution-level policymaking, mobile health apps, and international quality improvement collaboratives. While my background is very health-focused, I am also interested in ethics, international development, business models, decision analysis, destressing with fingerpainting and coloring books, and pretty much anything else that you're excited about. Hello again Adams! I am an alumn of the House (class of 2010) and am super excited to be a part of the community again this year in E-12 with my wife and fellow tutor Ana! I was born in Israel, but grew up in Zambia, Colombia, and Ecuador, before coming to Harvard, where I completed the S.B. degree in Engineering Sciences under the biomedical engineering track. As an international student coming from “Israel via Ecuador” (as I got used to saying repeatedly as a freshman), I was intimately involved with the Woodbridge Society for International Students, and hope to bring the knowledge I’ve accrued to advising in Global Citizenship at the House.  Read more about Or Gadish

Hiya Adams! I am delighted to return after graduating in Government from the house in 2014. Hailing from the proud state of North Carolina, I traded my overalls (just kidding, I still own a pair) for a down jacket and fell in love with the cobblestone streets, abundance of museums and ice cream establishments, and face-numbing chill (I'm serious!) of Cambridge. After spending a year at Google in San Francisco, I returned to Boston to work for a research firm and study opera at the New England Conservatory. Now I'm back at Harvard as a second-year at the law school, where I am broadly interested in civil litigation, constitutional law, and law and the arts.  Read more about Medha Gargeya

Hello! I’m Sheila Gholkar, a displaced west coaster and a pre-law and wellness tutor at Adams. I’m originally from Arizona, where I went to both college and law school. Interested in public service and economic development work, I majored in economics and Spanish in college. I worked with a nonprofit and traveled the year after graduation, and soon after, I decided on law school. After finishing law school, I moved to Boston to join my husband Vinayak. Since then, I've been working as a public interest law attorney. I spent two years at a legal aid organization representing low-income Bostonians on issues like foreclosure, evictions, and public benefits issues. I now work at the U.S. Department of Labor on employment and immigration matters. Interested in law, nonprofits, travel, advocacy work, or anything similar? Come chat with me in J-204! Business, What Matters Table

Hello Adams! My name is Samir Junnarkar and I am currently an MBA student at HBS. I am absolutely thrilled to join Adams House as a Pre-Business Tutor. Originally from San Diego, I traveled up the California coast to Stanford, where I studied economics. After graduating from The Farm, I was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, where I focused on tech IPOs. More recently, I was at LinkedIn, where I focused on business strategy for various groups, including our e-learning business, litigation team, corporate development team, and more. As a recent transplant to the Boston / Cambridge area, I've brought with me my Californian passions for flip-flops, running, road biking, swimming, and surfing. When I'm not outdoors, I also love reading and cooking. I look forward to getting to know everyone, and can't wait to host study breaks over at A-13!

Hello Adams! I'm originally from California, but have reluctantly settled into my new identity as an east coaster. I graduated from the College in 2007 where I concentrated in History and Science, lived in Currier House (Quad love!), and volunteered a ton with University Health Services and PBHA. After a stint doing non-profit consulting and evaluation, I went back to school to obtain my master's degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard School of Public Health. Over the past few years, I've mostly been involved in global health education, and some of you may have had me as your TA in any number of global health-themed courses. Currently, I'm working on a few projects with HarvardX and the Global Health Institute while writing a collection of short stories and hammering out a screenplay. Read more about Joseph Lee
