Consent Advocacy and Relationship Education Program
As CARE tutors, we seek to foster an understanding and respect for consent and healthy relationships.
Tutors, including CARE tutors, are "responsible employees" which means we are required to share information about gender-based harrassment, relationship violence, and sexual assault or misconduct with the Title IX Resource Coordinator. While that doesn't automatically trigger a Title IX investigation, we recognize that some students would prefer confidential resources.
SHARE-- an office on campus-- is both confidential and privileged. SHARE:
-
Offers a 24/7 support line, which you can reach by calling (617) 495-9100.
-
Provides trauma-informed counseling, which you can schedule by calling the number above or emailing oge_share@harvard.edu
-
Supports students in deciding whether or how to pursue legal processes and/or the University's formal complaint process
-
Accompanies students to meetings, the hospital, court, police, etc.
No issue is too small to bring to SHARE (or to CARE tutors if you'd like to talk to a CARE tutor).
To learn more about confidential resources, we encourage you to read: https://oge.harvard.edu/files/oge/files/understanding-confidentiality.pdf
