Room Reservations

Some Adams House common spaces are open for student reservations. Most available spaces can be viewed and reserved through roombook, which is the official space reservation platform in Adams House

Spaces Available to Book on RoomBook:

Menin Room - The Menin Room is located on the ground floor of Claverly Hall (G05) just outside of the Washburn Gallery. The Menin Room has comfortable seating for up to 12 people as well as a large screen for media displays.

Coolidge Room – Randolph G03 – The Coolidge Room is a seminar room with historic books and murals, on the ground floor of Randolph Hall near Claverly Hall and the Art Room.  The Coolidge Room has a large meeting table and attached kitchenette that can support up to 25 people for an event.

Oaktel 217 – Oaktel 217 is a lounge / conference room on the 2nd floor of the Inn with plenty of windows and seating for approximately 30 people. 

Oaktel 230 - Oaktel 230 is a small study lounge with a mix of soft seating and chairs arranged around small tables. Oaktel 230 can be reserved by groups of up to 30 people.

Adams House RoomBook Reservation Policies:
These policies apply to all reservations made for Adams Spaces thorugh RoomBook. Other space policies for the Dining Hall, Pool Theater, and Claverly Multi-Purpose/Pool Room and Oaktel North Seating area are noted below.

  • Alcohol is not permitted in Adams common spaces

  • Large social gatherings with amplified sound are not permitted in Adams common spaces other than the Dining Hall or Claverly Pool/Multi-Purpose Room (see below for reservation policies)

  • Reservations must be made on RoomBook and cannot be made unofficially through other channels (including the Adams House Schmooze)

  • Rooms must be reserved for any group event or gathering of more than 5 people

  • Students cannot be asked to leave a lounge if the space is not reserved through RoomBook

  • Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance

  • Reservations cannot be made within 48 hours of an event

  • Rooms are reservable between 9am and Midnight

  • Adams House does not allow for room reservations during reading or exam periods

  • All trash should be cleaned up before groups depart their reserved space

  • If room furniture is moved, it should not be dragged across the floor. Room furniture should also be placed back into its original arrangement if it was moved

  • Rooms cannot be booked through any platform other than RoomBook (including House-wide messages on schmooze or other platforms)

  • Room reservations are subject to relocation if reserved spaces are needed for Adams House events

 

Dining Hall Reservations:

The Adams House Dining Hall may be reserved by student groups for large events. Requests for Dining Hall reservations must be made at least 3 weeks in advance of any event date and will be reviewed by the Adams House staff before approval. Please note the policies on the Adams House Dining Hall Reservation Contract listed below and send any reservation requests to the Adams House Administrator (adams@fas.harvard.edu)

 

Adams House is also piloting Claverly Pool/Multi-Purpose Room reservations for parties with alcohol. Adams common space party guidelines can be found here.

The Claverly Kitchen and Randolph Kitchen are not reservable and are open for use on a first come, first served basis for drop in cooking and food storage by Adams students.

All spaces in Adams House that are not listed on this page are not reservable, but most House spaces are open for drop-in use.
