Room Reservations

Some Adams House common spaces are open for student reservations. Most available spaces can be viewed and reserved through roombook

Spaces Available to Book on RoomBook:

Upper Common Room - The Upper Common Room (UCR) is located on the second floor of the Adams House Library Commons. The UCR has soft seating, including comfortable couches and arm chairs, and can accommodate reservations of up to 30 people.

Brower Room – the Brower Room is located on the first floor of Russell Hall across from the mailboxes. The Brower Room has a seminar table and chairs that can seat approximately 12 people. If the Brower Room is locked, please pick up a key from the building manager’s office across the hall.

Menin Room - The Menin Room is located on the ground floor of Claverly Hall (G05) just outside of the Washburn Gallery. The Menin Room has comfortable seating for up to 12 people as well as a large screen for media displays.

Claverly Music Room – The Claverly Music Room is a music practice space on the ground floor of Claverly (G09) outside of the bicycle racks and laundry room. The Claverly Music room has sound proof material on the walls and door, an electronic keyboard for practice, and several music stands. The Claverly music room can be used for individual or small group music practice for groups of up to 5 people.

Oaktel 217 – Oaktel 217 is a lounge / conference room on the 2nd floor of the Inn with plenty of windows and seating for approximately 30 people. 

Oaktel 230 - Oaktel 230 is a small study lounge with a mix of soft seating and chairs arranged around small tables. Oaktel 230 can be reserved by groups of up to 30 people.

Oaktel 230A - Oaktel 230A is a small meeting room with a seminar table and chairs. Oaktel 230A can be reserved for groups of up to 9 people. Oaktel 230A can only be accessed by walking through Oaktel 230.

Oaktel 235 – Oaktel 235 is a small music practice room on the 2nd floor of the Inn with a maximum capacity of 5 people. 

Oaktel 326 – Oaktel 326 is a small lounge on the 3rd floor of the Inn with some small tables and soft seating. 

Oaktel 426 – Oaktel 426 is a small lounge on the 4th floor of the Inn with some small tables and soft seating. 

 

Adams House RoomBook Reservation Policies:
These policies apply to all reservations made for Adams Spaces thorugh RoomBook. Other space policies for the Dining Hall, Pool Theater, and Claverly Multi-Purpose/Pool Room and Oaktel North Seating area are noted below.

  • Alcohol is not permitted in Adams common spaces

  • Large social gatherings with amplified sound are not permitted in Adams common spaces other than the Dining Hall (see below for DHall reservation policies)

  • Reservations must be made on RoomBook and cannot be made unofficially through other channels (including the Adams House Schmooze)

  • Rooms must be reserved for any group event or gathering of more than 5 people

  • Students cannot be asked to leave a lounge if the space is not reserved through RoomBook

  • Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance

  • Reservations cannot be made within 48 hours of an event

  • Rooms are reservable between 9am and Midnight

  • Adams House does not allow for room reservations during reading or exam periods

  • All trash should be cleaned up before groups depart their reserved space

  • If room furniture is moved, it should not be dragged across the floor. Room furniture should also be placed back into its original arrangement if it was moved

 

Other Available Spaces in Adams House:

The spaces listed below are not available to reserve on RoomBook, but can be reserved by contacting the Adams House Office. Please note the policies for each space before sending a reservation request to Matthew Burke (matthewburke@fas.harvard.edu).

Dining Hall - The Adams House Dining Hall may be reserved by student groups for large events. Requests for Dining Hall reservations must be made at least 3 weeks in advance of any event date and will be reviewed by the Adams House staff before approval. Please note the policies on the Adams House Dining Hall Reservation Contract listed below and send any reservation requests to Matthew Burke (matthewburke@fas.harvard.edu)

Claverly Multi-Purpose/Pool Room and Oaktel North Dining Reservation Pilot

Adams House is piloting a reservation system for the Claverly Multi-Purpose/Pool Room and Oaktel North Dining area during the Fall 2022 semester. These spaces are not available to reserve on RoomBook. Reservation request should be sent directly to the Adams House Administrator (matthewburke@fas.harvard.edu). Room descriptions for these spaces and the contract for reserving these spaces are below.

Claverly Multi-Purpose/Pool Room - The Claverly Muli-Purpose and Pool rooms are connected lounges on the ground floor of Claverly Hall. The Claverly Multi-Purpose Room has soft seating while the pool room has some tables and chairs.

Oaktel North Dining Area - The Oaktel North Dining Area is on the ground floor of The Oaktel next to The Atrium. The space is normally set-up with a dining hall style arrangement and can seat up to 90 people. There is a partition that can be closed to create privacy between the North Seating area and the Atrium.

 

All spaces in Adams House that are not listed on this page (including the Lower Common Room and Dining Hall) are not reservable.
