Alex Reed

Hey all! I'm a fifth-year PhD student studying ancient history in the classics department here at Harvard, with a particular focus on cultural change and the non-elite in the Roman empire. Originally from a small town in Western Massachusetts, I ended up taking a slight detour out to California—where I graduated from UC Berkeley and ran a small performance space—on my way over to Cambridge. When I'm not holed up in the Adams House library, I also love to write silly limericks, collect reproduction Tiffany lamps, and hike and canoe around New England with friends and family.
