Spring 2016 Exam Info

March 23, 2016

Please note the following important deadlines related to the FAS Spring 2016 Final Exam Period.

Final Exam Schedule

The Spring 2016 Three-Hour Exam Schedule is available on the Registrar’s website, and exam locations will be added shortly.

Conflicting Exams

If you have a conflict between exams on the Three-Hour Exam Schedule, the Registrar’s Office is aware of your conflict and will automatically resolve it by scheduling a separate time for you to take one of the exams. Details for rescheduled exams will be sent by mid-April, and no student action is needed.  If you have a conflict involving an exam that does not appear on the three-hour exam schedule, please email the Registrar’s Office immediately.

Exams In Absentia

Students requesting to take an exam in absentia must submit a petition to the Administrative Board (facilitated by Resident Dean) and an Application for In Absentia Examination.  The form must be completed in its entirety and you are responsible for finding a suitable proctor to administer the exam. If you are taking more than one exam in absentia you must submit a separate application for each course.

Request for Out-of-Sequence Exam due to Religious Observance

If you must reschedule an exam because of religious observance, please complete the Religious Out of Sequence Exam Form by Tuesday, April 5th so the Registrar’s Office may reschedule your exam and notify your instructor well in advance.

Seeking Academic Accommodations

Students already registered with the Accessible Education Office (AEO) and currently receive accommodations will receive final exam information from the Registrar’s Office by mid-April.  If you are not currently registered with AEO but anticipate needing disability-or health-related accommodations for final exams, contact AEO by Friday, April 1st or exam accommodations will not be possible.  Only newly acquired injuries or unanticipated illnesses may be accommodated after the April 1st deadline. Please contact AEO with any questions.

Outstanding questions can be directed to the Registrar’s Office via email or phone (617-495-1542).
