The BGLTQ tutors are here to support all students in the house who identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We aim to cultivate queer joy and community in Adams and to help students feel safe, heard, and seen.
What we do
- Host community-building study breaks and events
- Advocate for LGBTQ+ students and their needs
- Connect students to other resources on campus
Connect with us
- Do you have an idea for a LGBTQ+ focused event at Adams that you want the tutors to plan?
- Do you want funding and support to plan your own LGBTQ+ focused event at Adams?
- Do you need help navigating an issue related to sexuality or gender?
- Do you want help navigating LGBTQ+ resources on campus?
- Do you just want to chat with a slightly-older queer person?
- If so, please email Lauren, the BGLTQ team coordinator. Email lgreenawalt@jd24.law.harvard.edu.
Please not that tutors are "responsible employees" which means we are required to share information about gender-based harrassment, relationship violence, and sexual assault or misconduct with the Title IX Resource Coordinator. While that doesn't automatically trigger a Title IX investigation, we recognize that some students would prefer confidential resources. SHARE is completely confidential and very queer-friendly.
