Hello, fellow Adamsians!  I am a graduate of Harvard Divinity School and now Administrative and Program Director and Lecturer in the Committee on Ethnicity, Migration, Rights.  My academic interests include critical theories of religion, decolonial thought, queer and gender studies, and converging issues of race/ethnicity/indigeneity/immigration.  I also consult at the Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, working with undergraduate fellows and teaching seminars on power and privilege in the classroom.  Outside of Harvard I am a political education trainer with the Asian American Resource Workshop.... Hello!  你好!! السلام عليكم ​  I'm Naima (pronounced Nye-ee-ma).  I'm a third-year tutor at Adams, and in addition to serving as the H-Entryway tutor with my boyfriend Christopher, I'm also a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Government.  Before starting my Ph.D., I served as a U.S. diplomat in Egypt and China.  I spent my weekdays implementing U.S. foreign policy, my weekends exploring exotic beaches and crowded open-air markets, and a few unexpected days dodging very, very large protests.  I'm American-born, but I spent my childhood in Cairo, Egypt.... Hi Adams!  I was born in Ontario, Canada and moved to Trinidad & Tobago when I was one.  When I was five, I moved to central New Jersey where I spent the remainder of my childhood.  I attended Hillsdale College (’15) where I earned degrees in physics, mathematics, and economics.  After that, I spent two years out west in Bozeman, Montana where I earned my master’s in applied economics at Montana State University.  I am currently a graduate student in the economics track of the Public Policy PhD program at Harvard.  Furthermore, I will be a graduate fellow in the Inequality and Social Policy Program at the Harvard Kennedy School starting in Fall 2018....
