Hi Everyone, I am thrilled to return as a resident tutor this year in Adams House! I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a blonde bowl cut and zero ambition. I graduated twice from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a BA in psychology and a MSW (Master of Social Work) in community organization. I am currently a PhD Candidate at Columbia University in social work and sociology (in my sixth and final year!) and I focus my research on race and technology, more specifically, digital ideologies of racism, race, and whiteness. I am also currently a nerd, who built my own computer, plays videogames, and is part of an underground artist collective based in Detroit, Michigan, called The TETRA. I coordinate the wellness team, in addition to being a member of the writing and fellowships teams. I reside in room 419/420 of the Inn with my partner Kemeyawi and our Italian Greyhound (Iggy), Karl Marx. Karl loves meeting new people and seeing people he has already met so please come say hello to him!

Please feel free to come to talk to me about anything, especially writing, fellowships, taking care of ourselves, and football (aka soccer)! Also, if you want support for a cool house event you have been dreaming about, I can support you in making it a reality!

Things I love: collective community, books and reading (a couple of my favorite authors: James Baldwin and Haruki Murakami), horrible reality television, decadent food, long walks, laughing, and showing up for one another!
