Law (Lead), Wellness (Lead)
Hello! I’m Sheila Gholkar, a west coaster at heart, and a pre-law and wellness tutor at Adams. I’m originally from Arizona, where I went to both college and law school. Interested in public service and economic development work, I majored in economics and Spanish in college. I worked with a nonprofit and traveled the year after graduation, and soon after, I decided on law school. After finishing law school, I moved to Boston to join my husband Vinayak. Since then, I've been working as a public interest law attorney. I spent two years at a legal aid organization representing low-income Bostonians on issues like access to public housing and food stamps.
I now do trial work at the U.S. Department of Labor, where I focus on employment and immigration matters. Interested in law, nonprofits, travel, advocacy work, or anything similar? Come chat with me! We live on the second floor of Claverly Hall in J-204 with our puppy, Pepper. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Adams community and I can’t wait to get to know all of you!
