International, Race relations (co-lead)
Hello! I’m Naima (pronounced Nye-ee-ma). I’m a sixth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Government. Before starting my Ph.D., I served as a U.S. diplomat in Egypt and China. I’m American-born but spent my childhood in Cairo, Egypt. I received a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Kennedy School. Right now, taking time to be intentional about finding creative ways to spend time with family (rather than just always being around each other because we're stuck in the house) is bringing me joy!
Things I love:
Travel, singing, arts and crafts
