Fellowships, Public Service

Hi all! While I may tell you I’m from Michigan, I grew up right on the border in Toledo Ohio. That confusion may have something to do with my college alma mater, the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). If you’ve ever seen ‘ My Big Fat Greek Wedding’; you’ll get a sense of my life growing up as the eldest of 5, with a big family with roots from Afghanistan. The benefits: I can cook pretty well :D My passion for civil rights led me to work at the NAACP LDF before coming to Harvard. Curious to share best practices across the Atlantic, I’m interested in human rights & women’s issues, with a special focus on Europe & the MENA region. I am a Master in Public Policy student in International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Feel free to stop by my suite, C-22 to discuss fellowship & public service opportunities, or if you’d like to watch a game (warning: Buckeyes fans may endure extra scrutiny) or persuade me in cooking up something delicious! Public Service is my main hat at Adams, so please be sure to get in touch if you’ve any interest in that arena. I’ve been known to karaoke…though audiences may not welcome my return ;)
