World Trade in an Era of Resurgent Nationalism

Dan Cohn earned a B.A. from Yale College in 1975 and a J.D. in 1978 from Cornell Law School, where he served as an editor of the Cornell Law Review.  An undergraduate history major, Dan remains an avid reader of books and articles on American history as well as European, Chinese, economic, diplomatic and military history and current affairs.  Dan is a fellow of Trumbull College (Yale) and a member of the Senior Common Room at Adams House (Harvard). 

A business bankruptcy lawyer, Dan is a partner in the law firm of Murtha Cullina LLP.  His efforts on behalf of distressed companies have saved thousands of jobs, and many millions of dollars of economic value.  A frequent lecturer on bankruptcy law, Dan has argued before federal courts of appeal and many other courts nationwide.  By way of professional honors, Dan has been named a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, currently serves on its board of directors, and is listed in America’s Leading Business Lawyers (Chambers & Partners USA). 

Dan’s law practice involves him in many business and economic as well as legal issues.  He has previously presented to the Senior Common Room on Moral Dilemmas in Business Bankruptcy and Next Time the Banks Fail.  Recently Dan has focused on world trade.

Dan lives in Cambridge, not far from Harvard Square.  He has four children, the youngest of whom is a junior in college.  A squash player and wind-surfer, Dan practices yoga as well.
