Learning from mistakes: Insights from research and practice

Making mistakes is a critical aspect of learning. That said, students all too often have negative reactions to their errors, at times avoiding the intellectual risks needed to grow and develop their capabilities. This talk will discuss some of the research on mistakes and learning, and present findings from a new study on Kindergarten teachers’ responses to student mistakes.
